Followed Nick Burch's advice on connecting to series 60 phones through bluetooth at http://www.gagravarr.org/series-60/#bt-apps. Scroll down a little to the section on Bluetooth and Gammu.
Before connecting, as by Nick's advice I issued the command "rfcomm bind /dev/rfcomm2 id:id:id:id:id:id 1". Please replace the 'id's with the bluetooth address of the phone. It can be found by keying in "*#2820#" into the phone.
I only know of "gammu --identify" to work so far. However, I can manipulate the filesystem in Ubuntu 7.10 with bluez bluetooth appplet 0.14 with "browse devices". Maybe filesystem manipulation can work in Gammu too?
